 The owner and the caregiver at Creative Minds Daycare, Arijana Ivanov, is a qualified teacher, who has been working with kids for over 10 years. Arijana finished her bachelors degree in Russian language overseas while working in publick shools there. Later, she accuired a second degree in ESL at Pedagogical Institute there and was teaching English as a Second Language to the children at primary schools and highshool. Upon arrival to Canada, over 10 years ago, Arijana worked as a living-in caregiver with a family of four young homeshcooled children. A few years later, Ms. Ivanov decided to upgrade her teaching degree by finishing extra studies at UBC majoring English and later getting Bachelor of Education degree as well. All of which allowed her to enrich the experience working as asubstitute in various schools with different age groups of children in the Kootenays. Currently, Arijana Ivanov lives in Okanagan Valley with her husband and two young children opening her home to other families looking for a quality child care. FACILITIES |

OUTDOORS The kids have a great space outdoors. The yeard is large and fenced in. There is a large sandbox and a gazebo to cover everyone from the hot sun in summer INDOORS The playroom is in the upper floor and it is a large sunny room with vaulted ceilings. The kids love to dance here or race in circle through the kitchen into the hallway with their ride-ons. There are two bedrooms used for daycaer, where we read stories, sing nursery rhymes before nap and get some rest in the middle of the day. Washroom becomes especially important for those who go through potty training. There is enough room for a few kids to fit in at the same time and everybody gets their turn to wash hands.
